2 Dead In Home Explosion
Two people were killed Sunday in what authorities are calling an "apparent explosion" at a home in Washington Township.

Emergency personnel received multiple 911 calls around 2 a.m. Sunday reporting an explosion and fire in the area of Tranquility Court, and they arrived to find a home heavily damaged and fully engulfed in flames, police said.
A man and a woman died in connection with the blaze, authorities said.

Pastor, Wife Indicted On Sex Trafficking Charges
A self-proclaimed pastor and his wife are facing numerous charges after federal prosecutors accused them of sex trafficking in Essex County and forcing people to work for them without pay.
An indictment charged Treva Edwards, 60, and Christine Edwards, 63, with conspiracy to commit forced labor. Treva Edwards was also charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud, coercion and forced labor.

Son Fatally Shoots Father In Jersey City
A man has been charged in connection with fatally shooting his father on Saturday night, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Gerard Brooker Jr., 25 of Jersey City, was arrested in Manhattan on Sunday morning in connection with the death of Gerard Brooker Sr., 52, prosecutors said Sunday.

Man Killed In Newark Street Shooting
A 20-year-old man was fatally shot in Newark on Saturday afternoon, according to media reports.
The victim was identified as Keion Alston, and the shooting occurred on Harding Terrace, a residential street a few blocks west of Weequahic Park, according to NJ.com.
Man Missing After Boat Capsizes In Delaware River
The U.S. Coast Guard conducted a search in the Delaware River on Saturday morning for a missing man after a charter fishing boat capsized near Trenton around 10:30 a.m. Authorities reported that two individuals were rescued, but a 50-year-old man remains missing.
