Accident Closes Stretch of River Road
Motor vehicle accident with downed wires snarled traffic Thursday evening.
River Road in East Hanover was closed between Overlook and Eagle Rock avenues Thursday evening because of a motor vehicle accident, according to the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.
The road was expected to remain closed for several hours while crews worked at the scene. The road closure caused traffic delays.
The county reported the accident around 4 p.m. and asked motorists to use alternate routes and expect delays.
