Black Friday Crowds Expected on Route 10

Black Friday shoppers are expected to hit the East Hanover Route 10 corridor in force on Friday to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Many stores have extended hours on Friday, with some opening at midnight and some businesses, including Target, opening while it's still Thanksgiving.

East Hanover police will have officers at Best Buy and Target, the two locations that have drawn the biggest crowds in previous years, to help maintain order, East Hanover Police Sgt. James Snow said.

Black Friday Hours

Best Buy: midnight to 10 p.m.

Target: 9 p.m. Thursday to 11 p.m. Friday

Bed Bath and Beyond: 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Babies R Us: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Toys R Us Livingston: midnight to 11 p.m.

Michael's: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday

Sports Authority: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, midnight to 10 p.m. Friday

REI: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday

Dick's Sporting Goods: midnight to 10 p.m.
