Emergency Course, Test Scores, Menorah Lightings This Week

A look at the week ahead in East Hanover and Florham Park.

Hanover Park Regional: The regional high school Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the board offices at Hanover Park High School. Maria Carrell, director of curriculum, instruction and assessment, is scheduled to present district test scores. Brady Mahar, Whippany Park Social Studies teacher, will give a presentation on the Genocide Studies Course, and Dr. Anthony Sciarrillo, facilitator for the board's self-evaluation, also is scheduled to give a presentation, according to an agenda for the meeting.

Menorah Lightings: The East Hanover Menorah Lighting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday in front of town hall. The Florham Park Menorah Lighting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Florham Park Gazebo at the municipal building.

Florham Park Council: The Borough Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, with a work session at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Emergency Planning: "Are You Ready? An In-depth Guide to Citizen Preparedness (IS-22)" is FEMA step-by-step approach for families to disaster preparedness. East Hanover's Office of Emergency Management is scheduled to hold a program on the guide from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at East Hanover Fire Headquarters, 323 Ridgedale Ave. Refreshments will be served. Santa at Firehouse: Santa arrives at the East Hanover firehouse at 10 a.m. Saturday.
