The proposed work is expected to cost around $17.5 million, and includes replacing and expanding the tracks, installing synthetic turf, multi-sport stadiums at both high schools, and work on the tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and Whippany Park parking areas.

The district estimates the average homeowner in East Hanover, Florham Park and Hanover would pay around $50 to $60 a year for 20 years to pay off funds borrowed for the improvements.
