Mock Trial Semifinals, 1,000th Point, Academic Team Success for Hanover Park
A round-up of recent achievements by Hanover Park High School students and organizations.

Recent achievements at Hanover Park High School include the school's mock trial team reaching the semifinals, a basketball player scoring her 1,000th point, and successes for the academic team.
- Senior Lauren Daugherty scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 10 in a basketball game against Madison High School.
- Seniors Ryan Agbim and Matt Santangelo won both the Morris County Relay Championship in the shot put event on Jan. 7 and the Group I Relay Championship in the shot put event on Jan. 13 in winter track.
- Michael Vitiello was selected by the Mayo Performing Arts Center as Music Student of the Month as an Outstanding Orchestra Member. He will be invited to perform in a recital in the spring.
- The Hanover Park Forensics and Debate Team had a successful competition in January. Emily Portuguese and Michael Tartaglia finished in the top six. Tori Pate was recognized as top non-advancing novice.
- After a strong showing by mock trial defense team members, Hanover Park Mock Trial students Tricia Boccard, John Lu, Amanda Panchery, Francisco Ruela and Erica Wu made it to the Morris County quarterfinals where HP's plaintiffs beat Kinnelon High School, sending Hanover Park's team to the county semifinals.
- Hanover Park Future Business Leaders of America members qualified for the FBLA State competition by placing in their respective categories at the Northern Regional competition:

- Sports Management: Andrew Guido—1st; Thomas Pescatore—3rd; Michael Tartaglia—8th; Brian Hsieh—9th
- Spreadsheet Applications: Justin Faybusovich—8th
- Technology Concepts: Sohum Pawar—1st; Francisco Ruela 8th
- The Hanover Park Academic Team had an award-winning performance at the regional tournament. The students earned Group II Regional honors for the 14th consecutive year. Individual winners:
