Democrats Win 2023 Council Race In East Windsor: Unofficial Results

The polls have closed. Ten candidates are vying for Council seats in East Windsor. Here are the unofficial results:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ β€” With 100 percent precincts reporting, the Democrats have won the Town Council race in East Windsor according to unofficial results.

Ten candidates were vying for seats on the Town Council. Democratic incumbents - Mayor Janice S. Mirnov, Marc Lippman, John Zoller, Anthony Katawick and Johnnie E. Whittington are running against Republican challengers Paul β€œP.J.” Hummel, Anna Lustenberg, Steven Uccio and Bina Shah. Roger Power was nominated by petition.

Whittington was appointed to fill an unexpired term after the death of Councilman Alan Rosenberg. He will square off against Shah and Power for a two-year term. The remaining seats are for four-year terms.

All results remain unofficial until certified by the Board of Elections.

  • Janice S. MIRONOV (D): 3,228
  • Marc LIPPMAN (D): 3,215
  • John ZOLLER (D): 3,180
  • Anthony KATAWICK (D): 3,294
  • Paul β€œP.J.” HUMMEL (R): 1,675
  • Anna LUSTENBERG (R): 1,692
  • Steven UCCIO (R): 1,601

Two-year term:

  • Johnnie E. WHITTINGTON (D): 3,179
  • Bina SHAH (R): 1,405
  • Roger POWER (Power for You): 279
