
The East Windsor Board of Education recognized the 2010-11 Advance Placement Biology class Monday for setting a new record for the highest AP scores in Hightstown High Schoolβs history, according to a news release.
"We congratulate these young scholars on their cooperative work ethic and extend to them our gratitude for representing our school in such a commendable way," the release said.
The class, which had the motto "AP Biology β the number one reason for sleep deprivation," worked together both in and out of the classroom to gain mastery of the subject, according to the news release.

"In the classroom they participated in discussions not to show off what they knew, but rather to help their classmates gain understanding,β the release said. βOutside the classroom they held study groups, discussed topics on their Facebook page, and connected what they were learning to their daily lives."
