Children Can Read with Lucy the Therapy Dog Today

1. Weather: Today will be partly sunny with a high temperature around 84 degrees. There is a small possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day that will continue into the night. Otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 66, according to the National Weather Service. 

2. Government: The Hightstown Environmental Commission meeting, originally scheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m., has been cancelled. 

3. Read with Lucy the Therapy Dog: Lucy the Therapy Dog will be at the Hickory Corner Library today at 2 p.m. to help children work on their reading skills. Children who are independent readers and 5-years-old and older are invited to come read to the non-judgmental Lucy. This practice helps children build confidence in their reading skills. No registration is required.
