DUI, Reckless Driving: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor Police blotter dated Dec. 19 had the following reports:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ β€” On Dec. 14 at 1:47 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 West after observing the vehicle being driven erratically. The driver, a Quaker Hill, CT resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 31-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Dec. 14, at 1:31 p.m., an officer responded to Bottle King on a report of an intoxicated individual causing a disturbance. Before the officer's arrival, the man left in a black sedan on Route 130 North. The officer located the vehicle and observed it being driven erratically. The officer stopped the vehicle and met with the occupants. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed open cans of beer and the driver showed signs of impairment. The East Windsor resident was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 40-year-old was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Dec. 14 at 11p.m., a officer responded to McDonald's after a concerned citizen reported an intoxicated woman exited her vehicle and stumbled into the restaurant. On arrival, the officer found the vehicle and the female in question who was seated in the driver's seat while the vehicle was idling. Additionally, the officer observed an open container of alcohol on the passenger's side floor. The driver, a resident of Egg Harbor, NJ, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 33-year-old was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Dec. 16, at 12:41 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite on a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention personnel. The suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for $73.12 in merchandise and was placed under arrest. The 36-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a summons pending court action.
