Three government employees were named 2012 employees of the year.

East Windsor Township Mayor Janice S. Mironov recognized 2012 Employees of the Year:

  • Jennifer Santiago of the Township Manager’s office
  • Police Detective Joseph Gorski
  • William Askenstedt, Director of Public Works

Jennifer A. Santiago began her career with East Windsor Township as a student intern in the Municipal Clerk’s Office in 1992, where she was hired full time in 1993 and promoted twice. Jennifer was most recently promoted to the position of Secretary to the Township Manager on November 1, 2011, and also was recognized as Employee of the Year in 2011.

“Jennifer Santiago displays an outstanding work ethic and takes a genuine and commendable stake and responsibility in her work performance and the overall conduct of Township business, setting a positive example for her co-workers through her dedication and professionalism. She possesses a history of the departments which make her an invaluable asset to township officials, other employees and residents,” Mironov said.

Police Detective Joseph Gorski joined the East Windsor Township Police Department on January 2, 2003. He coordinates the Township National Night Out event, serves as a D.A.R.E instructor in the township elementary schools, and is police liaison to the Domestic Violence Victim Response Team, working closely with Womanspace, the lead non-profit organization in Mercer County that provides crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
