Empower Pharmacy To Open New Manufacturing Site In East Windsor

Empower will be occupying 170,000 square feet of the existing Aurobindo Pharma building.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ - Empower Pharmacy, a provider of tailored specialized medications for individual patients, will be opening a new location in East Windsor, Mayor Janice S. Mironov said.

Empower will be occupying 170,000 square feet of the existing Aurobindo Pharma building at the intersection of Princeton Hightstown Road and Old Trenton Road. In April 2024, Empower Pharmacy acquired all site operations and assets including the existing workforce of Eugia US Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma.

A privately held company, Empower Pharmacy provides high-quality, affordable medications, patient-specific based on the prescription and need. The East Windsor site will become Empower Pharmacy’s second FDA-registered manufacturing site, joining company facilities in Houston, Texas.

Empower Pharma is in the process of a significant capital investment of upwards of $100 million to retrofit its portion of the building into a sterile medication manufacturing facility incorporating state-of-the-art instruments and equipment.

The retrofit will include the construction of separate manufacturing lines and clean rooms to promote high-quality sterile processes and support testing services for clinical trials.
