Hightstown Alum Ben Simon Drafted By The New York Mets

The Hightstown High School alum was selected in the 13th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ β€” Hightstown High School alum, Ben Simon, was drafted by the New York Mets in the 13th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft.

Simon is a right-hand pitcher and infielder. He missed out on his final season in high school in 2020 due to the pandemic.

After graduating, he attended Elon University in North Carolina to study applied mathematics. He pitched for the Phoenix as well.

Hightstown school’s baseball program congratulated Simon on the draft. β€œHightstown is very proud and the Mets have gained a lot of new fans,” the Hightstown Rams said on twitter.
