Reckless Driving, Shoplifting: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter dated Nov. 16 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On Nov. 10, 4:15 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention personnel. Investigation revealed that the Hamilton resident attempted to leave the store without paying for $284.74 worth of merchandise. The 38-year-old was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On Nov. 11 at 5 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting incident. According to investigation, a Trenton resident attempted to leave the store without paying for $160.20 worth of merchandise. The officer identified the 44-year-old woman and she was charged on a summons..
On Nov. 12 at 1:45 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 133 after observing the vehicle failing to maintain its lane. The driver, a Trenton resident, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 44-year-old was later released pending court action.

On Nov. 12 at 6:50 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention personnel. According to investigation, a Monroe woman attempted to leave the store without paying for $228.20 worth of merchandise. The 29-year-old was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On Nov. 13 at 4 p.m., an officer conducted a field inquiry on Route 133 after observing a vehicle parked on the median, partially in the travel lane. The driver, a South Amboy resident, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 27-year-old was later released pending court action.
