Theft Of A Credit Card, Careless Driving: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter dated Oct. 24 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Oct. 17 at 7:16 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on One Mile Road after observing the vehicle with a brake light out. The driver was found to have active warrants out of Verona and Robbinsville. The driver, a 34-year-old East Windsor resident, was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, issued a traffic summons, and released after posting bail.
On Oct. 18, at 4 p.m., an officer met with the victim who reported they misplaced their credit card and received alerts for fraudulent charges at the East Windsor Walmart. The case was assigned to a detective who identified the suspect. The suspect, a 20-year-old East Windsor resident, turned himself in at police headquarters, was processed, and released on a summons pending court action.
On Oct. 19 at 1:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 East after observing the vehicle being operated erratically with the headlights off. The driver, an East Windsor resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 48-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Oct. 19 at 5:51 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a past-tense shoplifting report. Loss Prevention personnel reported that an individual stole $305.12 worth of miscellaneous merchandise on Oct. 16. The officer conducted a follow-up investigation and identified the suspect, a Trenton resident. The 32-year-old was charged on a complaint summons pending court action.
On Oct. 21, at 12:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Shell after observing the driver fail to yield to oncoming traffic on Lake Drive. The driver, an Ewing resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 40-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Oct. 22 at 12 p.m., a victim reported that there were two unauthorized charges on their debit card. The case was assigned to a detective who identified the suspect, a Hinesville, GA resident. The 34-year-old was charged on a complaint summons pending court action.
On Oct. 22, an officer responded to Target on a report of a shoplifting in progress. The suspect reportedly ripped a flat-screen TV off of the display wall and placed other merchandise in a shopping court before bypassing all points of sale. The suspect was stopped by loss prevention personnel prior to police arrival. The suspect, a Philadelphia resident, was also found to have active warrants out of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and Hamilton Township. The 46-year-old was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, served with a complaint summons, and later taken to Mercer County Corrections where he was detained on active warrants.
On Oct. 22, an officer responded to the area of Old Cranbury Road and Route 130 North for a report of a disabled vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant out of East Windsor and was placed under arrest. The 33-year-old was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.
