2. Princeton Jazz Festival, , Moore Street, Princeton. The fourth-annual festival will feature 2011 Grammy Award nominee Tim Hagans and trumpeter Marvin Stamm on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. The festival starts each day with clinics and performances by 20 area middle and high school jazz bands. The headliners will play with the award-winning Princeton Studio Band each night. Tickets are $10 for adults, seniors and students pay $6. http://www.princetonjazz.org

3. Artist Joan Snyder, Voorhees Hall, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Sunday at 2 p.m. Snyder, the Estelle Lebowitz visiting artist-in-residence, will discuss her career and methods, in conjunction with the special collection Dancing with the Dark: Joan Snyder Prints 1963-2010. The event is sponsored by the Zimmerli Museum and the Mary H. Dana Women Artists Series, a program of the Rutgers Institute for Women and Art in partnership with the Rutgers University libraries. Cost: $10 general admission, $5 for museum members and free for Rutgers faculty, staff and students.
4. Live Music at the Cranbury Coffee House, , 22 S. Main St., Cranbury. On Friday from 7-9:30 p.m., check out the Jack Jonah Band performing jazz and big band music, with opening act Paige Stewart of East Windsor. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. All proceeds benefit the Skeetβs Food Pantry and the churchβs Deacons Fund. http://www.cranburycoffeehouse.com
5. One South Rustic Grill, 4095 Route 1, Monmouth Junction. An authentic Italian steakhouse that also offers pasta and a variety of classic Italian cuisine, it has a full bar and happy hour specials.
6. Gusto Grill, 1050 Route 18, East Brunswick. The Italian-themed restaurant and bar features an array of meanan array of menu items, such as New York strip steak, mixed seafood grill, baby back ribs, margarita pizza and Chilean sea bass oreganata.
