Wanted Person, Shoplifting: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter dated Jan. 11 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On Jan. 5, at 8:33 a.m., an officer responded to St. James Village for a report of an unwanted person on the property. The officer contacted the man in question and he was found to have an active warrant out of Upper Freehold Municipal Court. The 25-year-old East Windsor resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was later released on his own recognizance.
On Jan. 5, at 11:39 a.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of Princeton Arms East for report of a suspicious vehicle with no license plates in the parking lot. The officer spoke with the occupant and it was discovered he had an active warrant out of Bucks County, PA. The 22-year-old Princeton resident was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters and later transported to Mercer County Corrections where he was detained on the active warrant.
On Jan. 5 at 5:44 p.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention personnel. Investigation revealed that the East Windsor resident attempted to leave the store without paying for $28.78 worth of merchandise. The 41-year-old was charged on summons pending court action.

On Jan. 9, 9:44 a.m., an officer responded to ShopRite for a past tense shoplifting report. Loss prevention personnel observed a suspicious person bagging merchandise in the parking lot. Loss prevention confronted the individual who was unable to produce a receipt for the merchandise which totaled $160.34. The individual then fled the scene, however, was later identified by the responding officer. The man turned himself in at police headquarters, was processed and released on a summons pending court action.
On Jan. 9 at 9:17 p.m., an officer found a vehicle idling and unoccupied in the parking lot of Shell. Moments later, the driver exited the Shell Foodmart and was greeted by the officer. The man was found to have active warrants from Stafford Township and Hamilton Township. He was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters and later released on his own recognizance.
