While customers visit for beautiful arrangements, they discover something deeper: a business model that proves inclusive employment creates both economic value and community connection.

“Vaseful has an amazing team of dedicated staff that creates beautiful flower arrangements while making an impact on persons with disabilities,” said Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options. “It is inspiring to see that the Edison community feels the same way as we do about our flower shop.”

The award reflects the genuine community relationships Vaseful has built through employees like Joe Wood, whose journey exemplifies the shop's mission.

Wood initially joined Vaseful to develop job skills but quickly discovered an unexpected passion for floral design. His responsibilities extend far beyond basic flower preparation—he actively creates arrangements, selects complementary blooms, coordinates sophisticated color schemes, and anticipates customer preferences with remarkable intuition.

Wood's artistic eye and creative contributions have made him an integral part of the design team, demonstrating how providing authentic work opportunities allows individual talents to flourish.

“I love working here,” said Wood. “It feels good to help people celebrate something meaningful.”

Since opening its doors in 2014 at 256 US Highway 1 Edison, Vaseful has been brightening lives in Edison with stunning floral creations and creating a workplace where people with disabilities can thrive. Thanks to employees like Wood, customers leave Vaseful with not only beautiful arrangements, but also a deep sense of connection and care.

“A bouquet from Vaseful is much more than just décor,” said Dina Casalaspro, Community Options Managing Director. “It is a symbol of hard work, community and commitment to inclusion.”

Apart from Edison, Vaseful has another storefront in Princeton. Together, these locations continue to demonstrate how meaningful work, creative expression and community support can come together in one bouquet at a time.
