Edison Opens Applications For Mayor’s 2025 Boot Camp
The 2-day summer certification program aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders in Edison.

EDISON, NJ – If you’re looking for something to keep your kids occupied this summer, thne add this event to your calendar. Edison Township has announced the return of Mayor Joshi’s Boot Camp - a two-day summer certification program aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders in Edison.
This year’s program will run in two sessions:
- Session 1 on Monday, Aug. 18 and Tuesday, Aug. 19
- Session 2 on Wednesday, Aug. 20 and Thursday, Aug. 21
A graduation ceremony will be held on August 21 at 1:00 PM.

Open to rising juniors and seniors in Edison schools, the Boot Camp provides students with an inside look at how local government operates. Participants will engage in presentations and Q&A sessions with various Township departments, gaining hands-on knowledge about the roles, responsibilities, and day-to-day operations of municipal government.
“This program is a unique opportunity for young residents to understand how their local government works and to develop strong leadership skills,” Joshi said in a statement.

“We’re proud to help shape future civic-minded leaders right here in Edison, and I hope one of these students becomes Mayor one day.”
Interns will be expected to complete daily assignments and will receive a certificate of completion signed by Mayor Joshi at the conclusion of the program.
