METUCHEN, NJ — The borough had about 4.5 inches total of snow on Tuesday, Mayor Jonathan M. Busch reported.

He said the Police Department reported that there were several car accidents by 9 a.m. on snowy roads. A few trees had fallen around town and wires were down at New Durham Avenue and Bridge Street, he said.

"Our Department of Public Works staff have mostly completed clearing our main roads and have begun clearing the interior side roads. If they haven’t gotten to you already, they will get there very soon," he said by mid-afternoon on Tuesday.
