The shop specializes in soft-serve ice cream that comes in a pastry cone that is rotisserie-grilled and vegan. It is then covered with cinnamon sugar or a specialty powder. The dough is hand-rolled and made fresh every day.

The European-style cone is filled with a customer’s “choice of spread, gourmet soft-serve ice cream, fruit, and a variety of toppings,” according to their website.

After making a deal with Barbara Corcoran on "Shark Tank," the brand has rapidly expanded across the nation.

Founder Jeremy Carlson and his wife Kaitlyn decided to apply for Season 14 of ABC’s "Shark Tank."

“To their amazement, Crispy Cones was selected out of thousands of applicants to pitch their business in front of the Sharks,” according to their website.

The couple then made a deal with Barbara Corcoran, and since then, the brand has rapidly expanded across the nation.

According to Entrepreneur magazine, the inspiration for the cone came when Jeremy was on a mission trip for his church in the Czech Republic. He tried a unique treat Trdelník, a street pastry like the Chimney cake, typically filled with ice cream, spreads, and fruits.

Crispy Cones is located at Wick Plaza off Route 1 in Edison.
