Bergen Deal Site SuburbanMomma Stops Offers

Coupons will be honored until expiration, site says.

SuburbanMomma.com, a coupon website founded by an Englewood woman, has stopped offering deals and will remain online through the end of the year.

“As of Monday, October 1st, we discontinued offering daily deals. If you ever bought a deal with us, we thank you for your support, and please know that merchants will continue to honor SuburbanMomma certificates until they expire,” said a message posted on the site Friday, which focused on Bergen County moms.

Englewood’s Deborah Leff founded the website in 2010, according to northjersey.com. The report noted Leff started the site when major deal site Groupon was largely focused on New York City discounts. Since then, Groupon and others have upped their North Jersey offerings.

“Over the last two years, we’ve partnered with wonderful local businesses to bring you fabulous deals. From the beginning, we’ve been committed to connecting you with exceptional businesses in a fun, engaging way. Thank you for welcoming us into your in-box each day. We are sorry to leave you but we are very proud of the work our amazing team has done,” the post said.
