Englewood Cops Honored For Saving Postal Employee's Life

Officers Mark VanWormer, Adolfo Gutierrez, and Shawn Ensenat were honored for their life-saving actions.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Three Englewood police officers were honored recently for saving the life of a U.S. Post Office employee who went into cardiac arrest earlier this year.

Officers Mark VanWormer, Adolfo Gutierrez, and Shawn Ensenat were honored by the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders for reviving the employee after he went into cardiac arrest during a heart attack, Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halestead confirmed.

The incident occurred at the Postal Annex on Smith Street June 12 at 10 a.m., Halestead said.
