Free Parking up for Council Vote in Englewood
Downtown shoppers might not have to feed the meters for nearly two weeks.

The Englewood City Council is expected to vote Tuesday on a resolution that would waive downtown parking meter fees during the approaching Holiday shopping season.
If approved, the city would offer free parking downtown from Dec. 17 to 29. The move was billed as a way to support local shops through the height of holiday shopping.
Many merchants have welcomed the proposal after they said business took a hit from Superstorm Sandy and utility company gas line work downtown.
