Utility Work Forces Road Closure in Downtown Englewood

A busy stretch of East Palisade Avenue in Englewood will be closed through Wednesday afternoon as utility crews install new gas pipes.

A utility company supervisor said the roadway, between Engle and Dean Streets, would be closed until at least 3 p.m. One lane on Dean Street, near Starbucks, was also blocked by the work.

The work was focused near the Dean Street intersection but the roadblock extended to Engle Street. Traffic in the area was building early Wednesday.
