Englewood Hospital Lays Off Nurses

A small number of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center nurses were laid off Thursday, far less than the 70 positions the nurses union had said were slated for cuts. 

Benzel-Busch recently celebrated the opening of its expanded state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz dealership, and a partnership with the city and a foundation to fund professional coaches for youth sports in the city. 

An Englewood public adjuster was sentenced Friday to 18 months probation for scamming clients and insurance companies out of more than $42,000 in insurance payments for work that was never completed, the state Attorney General's Office announced.  

A real estate firm has named Englewood Cliffs as one of the nation’s top ten towns for suburban living. 

The borough came in fourth on Coldwell Banker’s ranking, which cited its close proximity to Manhattan and the George Washington Bridge among reasons for the high mark.
