Alexandra Vanni, 19, a lifelong resident and 2012 graduate of Fair Lawn High School was sworn in by Mayor John Cosgrove. Vanni, who graduated earlier this month as president of the county's auxiliary police class, will immediately begin her field training in Fair Lawn. She's been an active member of the Fair Lawn Police Explorer program and is currently majoring in criminal justice at Bergen Community College with the goal of eventually becoming a police officer. The auxiliary police train throughout the year under the supervision of the borough police department.
