Bergen Teen's SnapChat Threat Caused Alarm In Morris Co.: Cops
Police said the threat, which was posted on SnapChat by a Bergen County teen, is not credible and schools are not in danger.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A message posted on SnapChat by a Bergen County high school student that involved a threat against schools that was supposed to take place Wednesday also made the rounds to several school districts in Morris County, according to authorities.
Parsippany police said they received a crime stoppers tip around 12:30 a.m. regarding the message and determined it came from a teen in Bergen, however they did not say what high school the student is enrolled at.
Police also said they've since determined the threat was not credible and that officers in Bergen County were made aware of the message earlier in the day Tuesday, and spoke with the teen.

Authorities said the threat didn’t mention a specific school district and do not believe students are in any danger.
Saddle Brook Police said that the threat was not credible, and that police spoke to the teen and his parents. They increased security at local schools on Wednesday as a result.
