Boys Volleyball to Face Bosco in Rematch of 2012 County Final
The Fair Lawn High School Boys Volleyball team will face Don Bosco Thursday in a 2012 Bergen County Tournament title rematch after knocking off Teaneck Tuesday in the tourney semis.

Despite a subpar showing in the Super Six Showcase this past weekend against the top boys volleyball squads in the state, Fair Lawn showed Tuesday that it's still the team to beat in Bergen County.
The Cutters cruised to an easy victory over Teaneck in the Bergen County tournament semifinals, 25-17; 25-8, to set up a rematch of last year's county tournament final with defending county champion Don Bosco.
Bosco ended Fair Lawn's run of three consecutive county titles last year, beating the Cutters in three sets, 17-25; 25-23; 25-17, on Fair Lawn's court. The Cutters played the game without two of their top players, Luke St. John and Chris Nugent, who were battling injuries.

St. John has since graduated, but the Cutters will have Nugent, the 2012 New Jersey Player of the Year, when the Cutters match up with the Ironmen on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Hackensack.
Fair Lawn handled Bosco in two sets when the squads faced off earlier in the season, but coach Peter Zisa said another win over the Ironmen in Thursday's final won't come easy.

"We did beat them, but it was a close match and it was very early on in the season," he said. "When you have a great coach like Beth Powell, she’ll have her team ready when it comes to us."
