Car Burglar Arrest, DWI, Warrants: Fair Lawn Blotter
Fair Lawn police responded to a number of incidents over the past week.
FAIR LAWN, NJ -Police responded to a number of incidents over the past week, including an arrest of a man for allegedly breaking into cars, warrant arrests and a DWI arrest.

11/07/2019 - Arrest made in connection with car burglaries

On 10-18-19, Fair Lawn Police took two reports of theft from vehicles parked in the parking lot of Bowlero, 22-22 Maple Avenue, where personal items, including credit cards, were taken and used for purchases. Det. Mark Wyka took over the investigation and was able to arrest Nadim Sahili, age 19 of Boonton, after he turned himself in. He was released after being charged with 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of theft of movable property & 1 count of fraudulent use of a credit card.

P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 at DeBoer Drive and arrested the passenger, a 23-year-old Newark man, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
11/12/2019 12:31 am- Wanted Person
P.O. Brandon Loaiza initiated a motor vehicle stop on Midland Avenue at Dorchester Road and arrested the operator, a 23-year-old Fair Lawn man, after an arrest warrant out of Fair Lawn was located for $851. He was charged with maintenance of vehicle lamps, then released after bail was posted. 11/12/2019 2:20 am Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 at Plaza Road and arrested the passenger, a 21-year-old from Union City, after he was found to have given a false name during questioning and arrest warrants were located out of Bergen County (no bail), North Bergen ($500) & Clifton ($500). A key to the glove box in the vehicle was located in Finn׳s sock during a search incident to arrest. Marijuana was located in that glove box. He was charged with hindering & possession of a controlled dangerous substance, then handed over to the Bergen County Sheriff׳s Department.
11/16/2019 12:17 am - Driving While Intoxicated
P.O. Michael Van Ness initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 at Virginia Drive and arrested a 52-year-old Pompton Lakes woman, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was released to a family member after being charged with failure to maintain a single lane & driving while intoxicated.
