12-Year-Old Child Hospitalized After Scooter Hits Car In Bergen County: Police
A child was taken to the hospital in Bergen County after his scooter slammed into a car, police said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A pre-teen was taken to the hospital last week after his scooter ran into the back of a parked car in Fair Lawn, police said.
Police said that around 10:03 p.m. on Sept. 17, a 12-year-old riding an electric scooter slammed into the back of a parked 2023 Subaru on Warren Road.
The child had a head injury and was taken to Hackensack Medical Center, police said.

There have been several news reports of children on electric bikes or scooters suffering injuries this month, including one death.
A 13-year-old child on a motorized bike was struck and killed by a landscaping truck in Scotch Plains on Wednesday, police said.

Earlier that day, a 12-year-old was hit by a Subaru while riding an electric scooter in Parsippany. He was taken to the hospital.
