Downed Power Line Causes Outages Across Fair Lawn

Between 501 and 2,000 Fair Lawn customers are without power Wednesday afternoon, according to PSEG's online outage map.

A downed power line along Route 208 in Fair Lawn Wednesday afternoon has left hundreds of residents without power, a PSEG spokeswoman said.

Kristine Snodgrass said that about 900 customers lost power when a wire came down on Route 208 South near the intersection with Berdan Avenue around 2:50 p.m. Crews are on the scene repairing the wire as of 4 p.m., and power should be restored in full by 5 p.m., she said.

The outage does not appear to be localized to a particular part of Fair Lawn, as Sgt. Eric Leitman said he'd received calls about the outage from all over town.
