Fair Lawn Kittens in Need of Homes

A total of eight borough kittens are available for adoption either through the Fair Lawn animal pound or an Elmwood Park veterinary care center.

Fair Lawn animal control officer Tracy Coates is seeking homes for five kittens currently being housed at the borough pound.

The four male and one female domestic short hairs are between six and eight weeks old. The males are all black with white paws and the female is black, white and orange.

There's no fee to adopt the kittens, which have yet to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

If you're interested in bringing any of the kittens into your home, call the Fair Lawn police department's non-emergency number at 201-796-1400 and ask to be patched through to Coates, the animal control officer, to set up an adoption meeting.

Another three borough kittens of roughly the same age as the five currently living at the pound are available for adoption through the Elmwood Park veterinary care center Healing Paws, where they are currently receiving treatment. To set up a meeting with those fragile felines, call Healing Paws at 201-509-8757.

For cheap and easy vaccination and spay/neuter options, Coates recommends kitty parents check out LuvMyPet.com or People for Animals, Inc.'s Neuter Scooter program. Both work in partnership with select Petco stores, including the one on Route 17 North in Paramus.
