FAIR LAWN, NJ – Two 17-year-old Fair Lawn boys were seriously injured after their vehicle crashed into a tree Wednesday night, according to police.
At 9:35 p.m., police responded to the area of Howard Avenue and Alden Road, where they found a 2004 Acura “had been purposely driven over the pedestrian tunnel,” which forced the car to go airborne after going over the roadway’s hump, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
After the vehicle landed, it swerved to the right, struck a “no parking” sign and then hit a tree, he said.
