Fair Lawn Traffic: River Road Milling, Repaving Begins April 11
Road closures and parking restrictions are coming in Fair Lawn as the borough prepares to remove asphalt and repave parts of River Road.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Road closures and parking restrictions are coming in Fair Lawn as the borough prepares to remove asphalt and repave parts of River Road.
The borough alerted residents and businesses to the upcoming work, as it may cause some delays. Work will start Monday, April 11.
Crews will begin milling (asphalt removal) on Monday and will tentatively go until Wednesday.

Milling will affect the following stretches of River Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. those days:
- Morlot Avenue to Berdan Avenue
- Berdan Avenue to Fair Lawn Avenue
- Fair Lawn Avenue to Legion Place
The contractor is scheduled to begin paving Thursday and Friday, April 14-15, between 7 a.m and 5 p.m on River Road from Morlot Avenue to Legion Place, the borough said.

Sections of the street will be marked with no parking signs the day before paving begins. Cars will not be able to enter or leave the areas being resurfaced. Police will suspend area overnight parking restrictions for these residents, the borough said.
