Green Team Donates to Little Ferry Food Pantry
The St. Margaret's of Cortona food pantry has been helping almost 100 families each month since Hurricane Sandy caused extensive flooding in Little Ferry.

The Fair Lawn Green Team donated $610 this week to a Little Ferry food pantry which has been helping families affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The money was raised through the One Pound at a Time initiative and donated to the St. Margaret's of Cortona food pantry at the request of former Borough Manager Tom Metzler.
The pantry went from serving about 25 or 30 families each month to aiding almost 100 when Hurricane Sandy hit last year, according to Regina Coyle, a volunteer. Little Ferry, where St. Margaret's is located, was hit by severe flooding in the storm, making it a cause officials said they wanted to support, even though it was outside of Fair Lawn.
"It's local people helping local people," Green Team Chair Joan Goldstein said.
