A report of a man walking through Fair Lawn driveways led police to a house with drugs and cash, they said.
FAIR LAWN, NJ — A report of a man walking through Fair Lawn driveways led police to a house with drugs and cash last week, police said.
Timothy S. Brown, 62, of Ward Street in Fair Lawn was charged with several drug offenses on May 20, said Fair Lawn police.
Police said that around 11 p.m. that night, they responded to Ward Street on a report of a man walking up and down driveways.

Police found that Brown "had a large knife sticking out of his pocket and began screaming incoherently and banging on the front door of a home."
Police handcuffed him. Then they noticed that the front door to a neighboring residence was ajar.

Police entered the home to ensure the safety of anyone inside, they said.
But once inside, they "observed numerous indicators of drug distribution and manufacturing," police said.
Two detectives got a search warrant and found 1.41 lbs. of marijuana, 1.25 lbs of psilocybin mushrooms, two grow tents, two marijuana plants, and $152,200 cash, police said.
Brown was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of property obtained through criminal activity, police said.
Custody of Brown was turned over to the Bergen County Sheriff's Department, police said.
