FAIR LAWN, NJ - A driver from New York hit the gas while her Toyota sport utility vehicle was shifted into "drive" and struck the corner of the Fair Lawn Athletic Club on Sunday morning, according to police.
Just before 10 a.m., the 46-year-old woman from the Bronx, was parked in the library lot at the corner of Parmlee Avenue and Gardiner Road and clipped the building, as well as a shrub, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
No injuries were reported and charges were not filed, he said. The building damages were minor, so Fair Lawn Athletic Club did not have to close following the incident, he said.
