Third quarter property taxes are due for Fair Lawn property owners Thursday, August 1. For anyone running a little late, 10-day grace periods are offered before interest is charged. After that, it's charged at a rate of 8 percent on the first $1,500 and then 18 percent on anymore money owed. Property owners can pay their taxes at the municipal building on Fair Lawn Avenue between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Saddle Brook property owners have an extended grace period because their bills have not yet been sent out, but officials are anticipating they will be out by the end of August. The bills will include information about the new due date.
