Ramapo College Opening On-Campus Sexual Violence Resource Center
Ramapo College has created a sexual violence resource center to provide services to victims and develop prevention programs.

MAHWAH, NJ – Thanks to a grant from the New Jersey Attorney General’s office, Ramapo College has created a sexual violence resource center to provide services to victims and develop prevention programs.
Using its $336,000 grant, the college worked with the YWCA of Northern New Jersey to establish a satellite office of the organization’s HealingSPACE Sexual Violence Resource Center to provide services directly on campus.
A grand opening is scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. at the College Park apartment complex, according to the school. Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, Ramapo President Peter P. Mercer and Helen Archontou, CEO of YWCA Northern NJ, will offer brief remarks.
