P.O. Brad Pindyck initiated a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Avenue at Harristown Road and arrested the operator, a 22-year-old woman from Hawthorne, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a single lane, failure to exhibit an insurance card, driving while intoxicated & refusal to submit to breath tests, then was transported to New Bridge Medical Center by Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance for treatment.

Tiller Uriarte initiated a motor vehicle stop on Fair Lawn Avenue at Edward Street and arrested the operator, a 19-year-old man from Fair Lawn, and the passenger,a 21-year-old man from Fair Lawn, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. Both were released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia.

P.O. Robert Iozzia, P.O. Brad Pindyck & P.O. Geovanny Buitron responded to CVS Pharmacy, 18-35 River Road, on a report of a shoplifting in progress and arrested the operator, a 22-year-old man from Brooklyn, NY, and 2 passengers after the vehicle they left in was stopped on 11th Street at Long Road with unpaid items totaling $836.19 and marijuana. All were charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia. The passengers were released and driver was was sent to Bergen County Jail.

She was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & unsafe/fractured windshield.

P.O. Juan Rodriguez & P.O. Miquel Cruz responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested a 36-year-old man from Hawthorne, after he was found with $31.97 in unpaid items hidden in his jacket, along with heroin. He was charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia, then handed over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department for an aarest warrant out of their jurisdiction.

P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Banta Place and arrested the operator, a 23-year-old Paterson man, after an arrest warrant was located out of Paterson for $750. He was released after bail was posted.

Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Hartley Place and arrested the operator, a 54-year-old man from Hackensack, after he failed a roadside sobriety test and heroin & Baclofen pills were discovered inside the vehicle. He was released to a responsible adult after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), under the influence of CDS, possession of prescription legend drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, wrong way on a one way street, improper backing on a street, failure to exhibit a motor vehicle document, improper display of license plates, headlights required at night, CDS in a motor vehicle & driving while intoxicated.

Juan Rodriguez approached an occupied parked vehicle on 1st Street at Lambert Road and arrested the occupant, a 42-year-old man from Maspeth, NY, after a crack pipe was discovered inside the vehicle and a switchblade knife was found in his possession. He was released after being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia & possession of a prohibited weapon.

P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue at River Road and arrested the operator, a 59-year-old woman from Nutley, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was released to a responsible adult after being charged with failure to maintain a single lane, careless driving, failure to exhibit a registration card, driving while intoxicated & refusal to submit to a breath sample.

P.O. Brad Pindyck, P.O. Robert Iozzia & P.O. Geovanny Buitron responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested a 17 year old female & a 15 year old female, both from Hawthorne, after they were detained by a store employee after concealing $165.38 in unpaid items. The juveniles were handed over to parents and will be charged on a juvenile petition in family court with shoplifting.

P.O. Brad Pindyck initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 17th Street and arrested the operator, a 48-year-old man from Englewood, after marijuana was discovered in his pocket and in his vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
