Teens Charged in Knifepoint Drug Stick Up Near High School
Two Fair Lawn men robbed a juvenile at knifepoint Wednesday night, making off with his iPhone and the marijuana he had come to sell them, police said.

Two masked men who allegedly robbed a juvenile at knifepoint Wednesday night during a drug deal near the high school football field have been arrested, police said.
Jose J. Narvez, 18, and Antwain L. Steed, 19, both of Grunauer Place in Fair Lawn, were charged with first degree robbery and posession of 49 grams of marijuana, after police said they held up a 17-year-old Fair Lawn High School with whom they had arranged a meeting to buy drugs.
The 17-year-old's mother reported the robbery to police at around 9:45 p.m, stating that two masked men had taken her son's iPhone at knifepoint on Cadmus Place, in the area of the high school football field, police said.

Some officers responded to the scene to search for the suspects while others went to the victim's home to speak with him and his parents.
Through interviews conducted by Detective Lt. Michael Uttel and Detective Jeffrey Welsh, police learned the juvenile victim had planned to meet his assailants near Sasso Field to sell them 49 grams of marijuana, according to police.

Rather than pay for the weed, police said the two men -- later identified as Narvez and Steed -- chose to mask their faces and rob the victim at knifepoint.
Through their investigation, the detectives developed information that led them to the home where the suspects were living and arrested both men in connection with the robbery.
In lieu of $100,000 bail, both Narvez and Steed were taken to Bergen County Jail. They will appear in municipal court on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.
Uttel said the juvenile victim, who was allegedly acting as drug dealer, has yet to be charged, but will be next week.
He said penalties will be enhanced because the alleged drug deal took place near school grounds.
