  1. Fair Lawn residents can place construction material on the curb this week on their regular garbage day and have it picked up for free. Click here for more information.
  2. The Saddle Brook Planning Board meets at 6 p.m. at Town Hall to review and recommend the Caldwell Avenue Redevelopment Plan for senior housing.

    1. Saddle Brook township council meets at 6:30 p.m. for a work session at Town Hall.
    2. Fair Lawn borough council will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m in Borough Hall Room 201. Click here for the meeting agenda.

    1. Fair Lawn is offering free blood pressure screenings at the senior center from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    2. Giovanni's Deli is holding a fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Fair Lawn High School softball team. Proceeds benefit a scholarship fund in memory of Lisa Sudol.
    3. Saddle Brook township council meets at 7 p.m. for a regular meeting at Town Hall.
    4. Fair Lawn’s  at the Radburn Association Grange Hall, 29-20 Fair Lawn Avenue. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults ($10 for members) and $12 for students and seniors.
    5. Overnight parking enforcement is suspended in Fair Lawn.

    2. Skyline Theatre presents "39 Steps," a play adapted from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center.     • Saturday, May 11
    1. Fair Lawn Boy Scouts Troop 53 is holding a car wash at the Radburn Exxon on Fair Lawn Avenue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 will be used to help defray the cost of camp.
    2. Fair Lawn Fire Company 2 is holding a Mother's Day Plant Sale and Vendor Event fundraiser at its station, located at 24-00 Route 208, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hanging baskets, patio pots, tomatoes and fresh cut roses will be available, and various vendors will be on hand selling their wares.
    3. The Fair Lawn Friends of Music is hosting a car wash fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fair Lawn High School. Cost is $5 per vehicle. A clothing drive will also take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations received at the car wash will help support the Instrumental Music Programs at Fair Lawn High School and Memorial and Thomas Jefferson middle schools. 
    4. A group of Fair Lawn residents are holding an appreciation dinner for borough manager Tom Metzler at 6 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Athletic Club. Cost to attend is $25.
