Dog Rescued From Raritan Twp Playground Paw Entrapment
6-month-old pup Bella was freed after her paw became stuck in the floor of a piece of playground equipment Friday night, officials said.
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - You’ve heard of a cat stuck in a tree. For six-month-old pup Bella, Raritan Township EMS recently freed her from being stuck in a piece of playground equipment.
At around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad was dispatched to the playground area at the Raritan Town Square on Route 31 in Raritan Township for a dog with its paw stuck in the playground equipment, the EMS squad said in a statement.
At the scene, EMT Jamie Fahey and Firefighter/EMT Jason Strauss found Bella with her paw stuck. With help from her owners and a bottle of olive oil, Bella's paw was “oiled up and gently ‘unstuck’ from the predicament,” the EMS squad said.

The rescue took just about 20 minutes, the squad added.
