Knock Out Opioid Abuse Town Hall Happening In Flemington

The forum is intended to increase awareness about the ongoing opioid crisis sweeping across North Jersey.

FLEMINGTON, NJ — A special town hall meeting about how the community can help prevent opioid abuse will be held in Flemington soon.

The Knock Out Opioid Abuse meeting will be at the Hunterdon Medical Center Oct. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The following people will speak at the meeting:

  • Dr. Nimish Mehta, physician coordinator for pediatric emergency care at Hunterdon Medical Center
  • Nava Bastola, public health analyst
  • Greg Rearick, supervisor of Hunterdon Opioid Overdose Recovery Program
  • Lesley Gabel, co-executive director and CEO of prevention resources

The meeting is one of a series of town hall meetings sponsored by the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey and the Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation for New Jersey.
