RINGOES, NJ — A Hunterdon County man was charged after police said he had sexual contact with a 13-year-old child.
Wayne S. Stangil Jr., 23, of Ringoes, was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, said Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.
A joint investigation found that on May 31, Stangil Jr. had criminal sexual contact with a juvenile he knew and who was 13 years old, said Robeson.

Stangil Jr. was arrested on July 8 following the investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit and the Lambertville City Police Department.
Stangil Jr. is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
