Youth To Rally To Defend Abortion Rights In Flemington

Youth from across Hunterdon County will rally on Friday demanding that President Biden take executive action to defend abortion.

FLEMINGTON, NJ — Youth from across Hunterdon County will rally on Friday to defend abortion and the right to choose.

The rally will be held at 5:30 p.m. outside the Hunterdon County Historic Courthouse and then march to the Hunterdon Democratic Party Office, both on Main Street.

"Bodily autonomy is a basic human right, and young people are showing up to defend abortion and the right to choose," according to Generation Ratify.

The rally is part of a nationwide day of action with Generation Ratify, a movement for gender equality. Thousands of young people across the nation will take action one week after the overturn of Roe v. Wade to protest the decision and fight for reproductive justice.

  • Setting up abortion clinics on federal land inside states that have banned or restricted abortion
  • Creating a federal telehealth service that provides free abortion pills to people across the country
  • Providing increased funding for abortion clinics and free travel vouchers so that those in hostile states can travel to get an abortion
