Body Found Near George Washington Bridge

Witness spotted male body in Hudson River late Monday morning, spokesman says.

Authorities recovered a man’s body from the Hudson River, south of the George Washington Bridge Monday morning, officials said.

The NYPD Harbor Unit brought the body to a pier in Manhattan after a witness spotted it floating in the river around 10 a.m., according to a Port Authority spokesman.

Additional details were not immediately available.
