Five Things Coming Up in October
Now that September has come to an end—or will have by the end of the day—we thought we'd take a quick look ahead at just some of what October will bring

Below is a look at five October events taking place in Fort Lee we thought you should know about and/or might not want to miss. This list is by no means exhaustive, but rather more of a “sampler.”
Number one
Emmy Award winning author Alan Brennert will give a reading from his new novel about Palisades Amusement Park at the (1588 Palisade Avenue) on Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. Seating is limited, and entry is free on a first come, first served basis. The reading coincides with the Fort Lee Historical Society’s exhibit, Palisades Amusement Park: Our Last Summer in the Sun. The exhibit runs through Jan. 29, 2012 and commemorates the 40th anniversary of the closing of the park. Brennert’s novel, Palisades Park, is not yet published so no video cameras or recording devices will be allowed during the reading.
