Port Authority police nabbed a Florida man who they say skipped out on paying the toll at the George Washington Bridge Sunday morning.
Police Officer Jason Malice arrested 46-year-old Garfield Ronald Brown around 7:45 a.m. after the trucker went through the toll lane without a front license, Port Authority police spokesman Joseph Pentangelo said. The rear plate on the tractor trailer he was driving was also bent to avoid being scanned by EZ-Pass security cameras.
Brown, of Miranmar, Fla., was charged with theft of service and tampering with public records.

Malice has made several toll evasion arrests at the George Washington Bridge, including a trucker in 2011 who officials said used a James Bond-style device to dodge EZ-Pass cameras.
Last week, Port Authority police charged the driver of a church bus who allegedly drove through an EZ-Pass lane without license plates or a toll tag.
